I got these organza bags in green and 5x7 size so that I could cover my figs from ants, bugs, and other fruit eating pests. The green was to deter birds so they thought that they were still not ripe, which did not really matter as my dogs chase away birds. The size was in case I got some huge fruits they would be easy to take out, but the trees are in the first year of production, and fruits tend to stay small if they produce any at all. The thing that they have done great for me is insect control. I've seen ants and other bugs all over the fruits if they are not covered, but once the bags go on, they can't do anything, and I don't need to worry about a little bit of extra protein in my diet that I never wanted to have. I know some people use them to give out little gift bags, but I've never used them this way and cannot say how good they are for that.
